Mondays, October 30 & November 6, 13 (2017)
During this three part class, children will learn some aspects of the daily life of Michigan’s Chippewa, Ottawa and Potawatomie people during the Eastern Woodland era. They will use tools, make their own cordage, and forage for wild edibles in addition to exploring the Neshnabe summer village. Be prepared to be outside the entire time for each day of class though shelter is available in the event of severe weather.
Age limit: 8-12 yr olds
Fee: $30 per child (member), $50 per child (non-member)
Registration is required in order to ensure adequate materials for all participants.
(Recommendations: personal water bottle, small snack, hiking shoes)
