Evening at the ODC

Tuesday October 4

6:00 to 8:30 pm

This annual event will include exquisite cuisine & adult beverages by Gilmore Catering with a key note by Richard Louv. Mr Louv is the author of the best-seller book, “Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from Nature Deficit Disorder.”

“The future will belong to the nature-smart—those individuals, families, businesses, and political leaders who develop a deeper understanding of the transformative power of the natural world and who balance the virtual with the real. The more high-tech we become, the more nature we need.”

With these words, Richard Louv has been able to spur a national dialogue among educators, health professionals, parents, developers, and conservationists.
The ODC is pleased to host Richard for several events in October. We hope you will join us and continue the conversation as we work together to create a nature-rich community—a community that connects people, land, and nature.
