More than 150 species of birds, 10 species of reptiles, 8 species of amphibians, 10 species of dragon and damselflies, 10 species of mammals, and 6 species of fish have been documented on site. These observations were made by our staff, students, researchers and visitors to the site since the year 2000. Some animals were identified during population studies of small mammals using live traps while some bird species were identified during mist-netting and bird banding.
