Volunteering with the ODC Network

We actively manage our restored 155 acre nature preserve in Fillmore Township (Holland) in addition to properties along the Macatawa River Greenway (Holland area) and the Rabbit River in Heath Township (Hamilton). As a part of our ongoing maintenance and management, we offer a number of volunteer opportunities to help maintain these properties. We appreciate the time and energy community volunteers provide and know their help is crucial to successful habitat management.

Events such as Treats and Trails, Macatawa Water Festival, and the Migratory 5K Fun Run also offer a variety of volunteer opportunities. Event volunteers help for the duration of the event, tasks range from set up to parking and wildlife assistant to tear down. Volunteering for an event helps make the event fun and memorable for all participants.

We are looking for motivated, hardworking individuals to further our mission to connect people with nature.

Corporate Employee Volunteer Groups

Volunteer projects are offered for local companies that partner with the ODC Network.  The projects and the resources needed to complete them are identified in partnership by a corporate team leader and ODC staff. If you are interested in a volunteer project, please contact Ashley Van Zee – ashley@outdoordiscovery.org.

ODC Network Advisory Committees

The ODC Network has multiple advisory committees to help provide expertise for staff on a variety of topics. These committees meet regularly throughout the year and are an important part of how the ODC Network meets its mission. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Ashley Van Zee – ashley@outdoordiscovery.org.
