Macatawa River Clean-ups

Help clean the Macatawa River and Greenway Trail of floating trash, river-side debris and other non-natural materials. Depending on the group size, there may be a crew on the shores of the lake and another in kayaks in the river. Anyone under 16 years old must be with an adult. All boats, paddles and life vests will be provided. Meet at the lower parking lot near the boat launch.

We are implementing precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All participants must fill out a health screening form before participating in the program (you can view a copy on the registration page). We will provide disposable gloves for all participants and we encourage you to wear a mask at least while we are handing out supplies (masks will be available). We will not provide snacks and ask that you bring your own water bottle if possible (we will have bottled water on site). Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be available. Event staff will sanitize kayak paddles, trash grabbers, and other non-disposable supplies before and after volunteer use.
