DeGraaf Nature Center

Trails are open 365 days a year during daylight hours. The entrance is located at 600 Graafschap Rd.

  • No fee to hike the trails
  • Trailhead is located adjacent to the Helen O Brower Visitors Center
  • Trails are crushed stone, boardwalk or mulch with some that are ADA accessible
  • Pets are only allowed on 6 foot leashes


  • use the nature center during daylight hours
  • use the trails for walking, jogging, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing
  • use the trails for wheelchairs, strollers and wagons
  • keep pets on a 6 foot leash at all times
  • only use the parking lot area if you must smoke

Please Do Not

  • harass captive or native wildlife especially for the sake of better viewing or photography
  • use motorized or pedaled vehicles on the trails
  • ride horses on the trails
  • swim in the pond or creek
  • park overnight or after hours
  • collect animals, plants or other natural materials without specific consent
  • hunt or trap wildlife without specific consent
