Treats & Trails

October 19, 2024 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Bring your entire family out for a safe and fun walk along the trails of the Outdoor Discovery Center. There will be wildlife encounters, games and candy. Don’t miss seeing the live birds of prey or roasting marshmallows. The North American Wildlife Exhibit in the visitors center will be open for exploration throughout the event.

Event Details

Children are encouraged to wear their costumes. All the nature trails are wheelchair, stroller and wagon-friendly. You must walk a total of 1.2 miles to see the entire event. 

Fee: $20 per family – no new admission after 6pm. 

Pets: Dogs are not permitted at this event, live birds of prey will be out for encounters.

Volunteers: We need volunteers to help this event run smoothly!

Parking Information

NEW THIS YEAR!

ROAD CLOSURES & SHUTTLE SERVICE: One way road on 142nd Ave (eastbound) with street parking. Parking available in the main lot and along 142nd Ave. Enter only off 142nd – Exit only onto 56th St. Shuttle stops & parking available off transport lane. Shuttle will run approximately every 12 minutes. Drop off at our site and then continuing on to the shuttle parking available.

Volunteer Opportunities

We need volunteers to help this event run smoothly!

Become a Partner!

We are looking for organizations to join as partners for this exciting, big community focused event.

For a nominal fee, partners will host a candy station for the duration of the event. The fee is $25/nonprofit or government organization, $50/business or corporation. Partners can also choose the Community Sponsor level for $250 for recognition on the trails and maps.

It is expected that all partners and sponsors bring 3,000 pieces of candy that they will give away during the event. ODC will supplement as needed. Partners will receive a table, if requested, you can also bring a tent if you would like.

This is a great opportunity to connect with a few thousand people in our community!
