Whether you’re new to hide tanning or looking to deepen your skills\, you’ll work through each stage of the process with plenty of hands-on practice and individualized instruction. \nThroughout the workshop\, participants will learn how to transform a deer hide into soft\, durable buckskin. Topics include hide preparation\, fleshing\, wet and dry scraping techniques\, brain tanning (with discussion of egg tanning as an alternative)\, wringing\, softening\, and smoking.
