Homeschool program – Homestead Holiday (at DeGraaf Nature Center)

Happy Holidays! Step back in time and explore how early Michigan settlers prepared for the winter season. Participants will visit a decorated log cabin and learn about traditions from the 1800s. They’ll discover the history of holiday trees in Michigan, try hand-dipping candles, and create a practical, settler-inspired craft to take home.
This drop-off program is geared for home schoolers ages 6 – 12. Please bring a water bottle and a snack.
For ages 6 to 12.
Registration is required. Register and pay for attending children only (except infants).
Guardians do not need to stay with the class.
Fee: $10 per student, 20% discount for members.
