Originally built in 2015, the Spoelhof Family Visitor Center invites visitors to explore the connections between people, wildlife, and the natural world through interactive, hands-on exhibits.
Discover live fish, reptiles, and a resident owl, explore touch tables filled with natural artifacts, view North American wildlife taxidermy displays, step inside a cave, and experience a full-scale birdhouse from a bird’s perspective. You may even meet a turtle or touch a real mastodon bone!
The visitor center is a welcoming stop for families, nature enthusiasts, and school groups. Relax in the bird-viewing room, enjoy rotating exhibits overlooking the fishing pond, or ask a naturalist about the plants and animals you’ve encountered during your visit.
