Highlights

  • Meet gray whales up close in Magdalena Bay, where mothers bring their babies right up to the boat and curious whales look you straight in the eye at the end of a 6,000-mile migration.

  • Snorkel beside whale sharks, the largest fish in the world at up to 59 feet long, gentle giants that feed only on plankton.

  • Explore Isla Espiritu Santo, a National Marine Park and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with towering cliffs, sandy bays, lava rock formations, and ancient rock art.

  • Kayak, paddle board, snorkel, and hike your way around the island, swimming with sea lions and spotting sea turtles, manta rays, dolphins, and Blue-footed Boobies.

  • Paddle the mangrove estuary at Camp Cecil to discover abundant birdlife, then try your hand at sand boarding and beachcombing.

  • Recharge at Camp Cecil, a National Geographic-featured glamping camp with safari-style tents, chandeliers, ensuite bathrooms, and a camp chef who prepares three meals a day plus happy hour.

  • Stay in three distinct places: oceanview casitas in Todos Santos, a luxury tent camp, and a hotel right on the La Paz town plaza.

  • Learn to make the perfect margarita and some truly memorable dishes in a Mexican Survival Cooking Class led by chef-in-residence Iker Algorri.

  • Travel with expert, bilingual naturalist guides who are certified Wilderness First Responders, all in a small group capped at 14 travelers.
